Mom Body and Sol is a small, heart-centered business based in Dufferin, deeply rooted in holistic and natural living. What began in 2015 as a Holistic Doula service, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum has grown into something even more beautiful.
Empowering women to create their ideal birth and afterbirth experience has always been one of my greatest passions. Equally important to me is living in harmony with nature and honoring the sacred Indigenous roots from which so many of our healing traditions stem.
The evolution into creating a line of care products specifically for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum felt like a natural and meaningful rebirth for Mom Body and Sol. I’ve been handcrafting these remedies for my own family and clients for years, and have witnessed the healing power that comes from truly natural, intentional care.
Every product is made from scratch, by me, right here in my workshop with love, purpose, and integrity.
Honouring Sacred Indigenous Traditions
At Mom Body and Sol, my work is guided by my connection to nature and the values I’m reclaiming from my Mi’kmaw ancestry, Indigenous to Atlantic Canada; values of gratitude, balance, and deep respect for all living things.
Each product is much more than skincare. Every balm, every bar, every blend carries purpose. Created with respect for the Earth and the people it serves.
I create with the understanding that everything is connected.. people, plants, animals, water, and sky and that what we take, we must give back. Through this work, I honour the ancestors, the land, and the sacred cycle of life that sustains us all.
Land Acknowledgment
Mom Body and Sol is based in Dufferin County, Ontario, on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and the Métis peoples. I acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge of the Indigenous communities who have cared for this land since time immemorial. I am committed to learning, listening, and honouring these roots with integrity in all that I do.
Education Backround:
I am trained as a Herbalist through Hearts of Herbs, as well as a Certified Holistic Doula through The Matrona, after two prior trainings with Birth Arts International & Bebo Mia. I have attended with honour many births and have extensive knowledge and training in Birth & Postpartum Education, Breastfeeding, Plant Medicines & Holistic Living as a whole.
